Doug Johnston began painting watercolors in January 2003. He had his first Seattle area Art Show in November 2003 and a second one in May 2004.

Doug says, "I like to paint with bright colors that make people feel happy. I feel there is enough gloom in the world, so I try to give a little brightness in my paintings".
